Note: Time-only entrants will be distributed within each day half as needed to help balance run group sizes.

Entry fee is $30 if you pre-register, $35 if you don't.  You can pre-register until 10/19 here.  You can also pre-pay either via Venmo (@UWashingtonFormulaMotorsports) or by check, payable to UW Formula Motorsports - Department of Mechanical Engineering, Box 352600, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, 98195.

This event is a fund-raiser for the UW's Formula Motorsports (formerly SAE) competition teams, which go up against universities around the nation and the world with their innovative car designs every year.  As such, the event will offer Rent-A-Student, wherein for an additional fee you can have a student volunteer cover your work assignment for you.  That is $20 for one session (i.e. morning or afternoon) or $35 for both.

There will also be the excellent BBQ lunch provider at this event, as UW has had in the past.

Morning Registration/Tech will be 7:30-8:30; afternoon will be 11:30-12:30.

Understeer/Oversteer 9/22 and DawgtoberFast 10/21

The WWSCC 2018 season continues on September 22nd, with Torque Steerers hosting a double feature: Understeer and Oversteer will both be on that day, with all points classes running Understeer in the morning, and then all points classes running Oversteer in the afternoon.

Registration for the morning event will be 7:30-8:30 with Tech 7:35-8:35 and drivers' meeting at 9:00.  For the afternoon event Registration will be 11:30-12:30, with Tech 11:35-12:35 and drivers' meeting at 1:15 or 45 minutes after the end of the morning groups.

Run/Work groups are as follows:

Pre-register using the link at the left; deadline is 6pm Thursday 9/20.

Post-event social after Oversteer will be held at the Englers' in Lacey.  RSVP to rossow123@hotmail.com if you plan to come, and bring a side dish and beverage(s) of your choice.

Then on October 21st we'll have the final event of 2018, UWFM's DawgtoberFast.  As of now this is planned for a typical schedule with non-Stock classes in the a.m. and Stock in the p.m. (since it's event #8).  As usual, UW will be featuring Rent-a-Student to cover your work assignment (in exchange for a donation), and they'll have once again the excellent BBQ lunch caterer on hand.

Stay tuned for updates as more details are finalized.

Coneheads Practice and Sports Car Spectacular August 11-12

Come out for some serious seat time at Sanderson Field in Shelton August 11-12 (see directions link at left if you haven't been there).

Saturday will be the Coneheads practice, with a Test-n-Tune format similar to last year's version: element runs (slalom one end, sweepers the other) in the morning, combined into a full course for the afternoon.  A great way to scrub in new tires and/or test new setup tweaks and/or get used to a car.  Or just plain get a lot of seat time to improve your driving.  There will be one Registration/Tech period, 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday.  Element runs will start at 10 a.m. and we'll break for lunch at 12:15 (each half of the morning participants will run for an hour and work for an hour).  For the afternoon we'll break into two groups and take runs of the full course, with 2 sessions of no more than 90 minutes each, depending on turnout, weather, and participant preferences.

Entry fee for Saturday is $30 pre-registered, $35 walk-up.  Pre-registration deadline is Thursday 9pm.

Sunday will be Event #5 in the 2018 WWSCC series, the all-Council Sports Car Spectacular.  NOTE: On Sunday all points classes will run in the morning, including both Stock and non-Stock groups.  If you aren't running the series for points, but want to run in the morning, you can pick a class your car generally fits into, run a Pro class, or just run Modified B (or Mod A if you're open-wheel).

Morning registration and tech on Sunday will be 8:00-9:00; the afternoon (all Time-only, and subject to sufficient interest) will be "fun run" style.  Morning classes will be grouped into 2 or 3 sessions, depending on turnout.

Entry fee for Sunday is $30 pre-registered, $35 walk-up.  Pre-registration for Sunday will close Friday night at 6pm.

Use the Registration link at left or go here to sign up for either event or both.
