WWSCC council meeting

October 21, 2008

Meeting called to order by Karl, 7:35pm

Attendance: Dieter Beldi – Vice President, PSMC, ACE; Keith Brown – Secretary, SCCA; Kelley Picasso – Treasurer; Gilbert Gede UWFSAE; Amy Coleman TS; Enrique Garcia; Brett Wilson; TJ McGeary BSCC; Zane Kenney BEAC; Ann Wilson NWDE

Meeting Minutes Review: No copies available, review in November

Treasurer’s Report: received outstanding balances from TorqueSteerers, ACE and BEAC, including the $100 fee for the cable hit at AutoPilot. UWFSAE is also up to date, thanks for their efforts over the past year to dig out of a big hole. We currently have $70 in outstanding receivables. The deposit to K&K for per member insurance may have been too high, so their may be a credit to apply to 2009.

Old Business:

Pacific Raceways – the redevelopment hearing is upcoming, someone should attend to represent the council’s interests.

WWSCC Laptop upgrade – Brett has not looked in to it, based on the time of year, it is a low priority.

New Business:

Dawg Dash Review – The event was held at the south end of Bremerton. There was little support from the club. To help with event success, we need to go back to specialty shadows. It is hard, with extensive turn over each year to gain the specialty experience. We need better checks regarding double entries running in a championship class in both halves of the day. Brett will write up better instructions for the scoring software. There was an issue with the cables in the morning, due to the long length. Moving the timing vehicle solved the majority of problems. We learned a lot about the timing gear, and Brett will address some of the issues in the equipment. There was a spill on the VHT on the day before, and it was cleaned up in the normal manner. However, BMP had an issue with the cleanup. We have asked for clarification on approved cleanup methods. Approved for championship status by all clubs present.

Coneheads Practice – It is too expensive at this time, unless we can find a free site or can piggyback on top of another event.

Rules Meeting – November 17 at 6:30 pm at Goldies. Dieter will get it on the WWSCC calendar.
