WWSCC Council meeting
January 21, 2008 Goldies on Airport
Meeting Called to Order at 7:30 by Dieter
Attendance: Keith Brown – Secretary / SCCA, Amy Coleman – TS, Steven Yao – UWFSAE, Ann Wilson – NWDE, TJ McGeary – BSCC, Zane Kenney - BEAC, Gilbert Gebe, Alan Dahl, Glenn Austin, Dieter Beldi – Vice President, Bruce Collins, Kelley Picasso – Treasurer.
December Minutes Review
Kelley motioned to approve, second by TJ. Minutes Approved
Treasurers report: There was $2800 in Coneheads receipts, with $4100 in expenses, with a shortfall of 1300. We have a carry over from 2007and with the practice we covered dthe shortfall, but that reduces the Coneheads balance to zero. We have $1700 in outstanding Accounts Receivable. Kelley is emailing statements ASAP. We received our sponsorship from Jims Detail Shop for 2007 and 2008, thanks Kevin. Current balance $12,600. Season trophy costs were $4300. In 2007 we got a nice package donated by Griots. This year we bought umbrellas, bringing our total over last years.
With everything we made about $600 this year. Overall we are ahead about $2200.
Old Business
Timing Equipment – Kelley received the damaged set of timing lights from Brett Wilson, and contacted Race America to get them repaired.
Website Update – Calendar can now be updated by the clubs. Alan has gone through and fixed a series of bugs and updated the officers, etc.. We are in dire need of content. Need to include the latest rulebook. Alan will work with Karen to get it online.
Kelley would like to update the specialty chief Checklists.
New Business
Coneheads Recap Presentations went well. The two major awards were kept secret, Del Hines and Heart of Council, both were a complete surprise. The food was good but the Chicken seemed to be underdone. The fish was supposed to come with rice, it came with potatoes. Music a little too loud. A group went to The Garage for pool to continue the party. Thanks to Keith and Kristi.
Slush #1 Event Plan reviewed in December. A few co-chiefs/helpers signed up. Drivers meeting Script is on the website. Reminder about the early start time.
Slush #2 TorqueSteerers ConeVergence Zone. Feb 10. Enrique Garcia is chair. Event Stewards will be assigned prior to the event. Alan is course designer. Regular start times 7:30 -8:30 and 11:30-12:30 Stock in the AM, Non Stock in the PM. Must be a member of a WWSCC club to participate. Enrique is Contacting BSCC for cone rental. They will be using WW timing equipment. The Permissive passenger rule will be in effect.
