Treasurer’s Report. Kelley reported that the current balance is $9959.12 with about $2800 outstanding from Sports Car Spectacular. Current Accounts Receivable is $1798.17. Kelley will re-invoice the outstanding clubs. BEAC has requested the sanicans be kept on site until Nov 5th. If an additional service is necessary BEAC will inform Kelley.
Old Business
Coneheads Practice. We had about 40 people, with about 14 runs per session. We made $1095 in entries. Everyone had a great time. All the clubs made donations to cover the expenses. BEAC Lot Fee, TS PA Generator and course radios, NWDE sanicans ($100), PSMC $75 for Helmets, ACE Shelter and $50 for Trophies, UW made students available, and timing card printing, BSCC $100, SCCA $100
Sports Car Spectacular. Dry in the morning and wet in the afternoon 109 entries. The event ran well. Each club handled their portions very well. Nice after event social.
Coneheads Trophies. Dieter has brought a series of jackets in a variety of colors and styles. And a nice bag. Also a couple of Umbrella options. Budget this year is $1452 in sanction fees plus $500 in Sponsor fee. Dieter will look into price on rain jackets for lower places, and for a larger umbrella.
New Business
Coneheads Banquet date. January 19th This is the only date that does not conflict with another local banquet, SCCA convention or major event at Qwest field. It is possible that the Seahawks could play that day in the NFC championship game, if that happens we will shift the banquet to the 20th.
Scoring Issues. There are some errors in scoring for the season. The Index for one class is incorrect. Shane Jensen has been running with an FSP index instead of CSP. The hard line in the rules would change their index to AM. Kristos ran incorrectly in PC at enduro, should be PA the concensus of the group was to change the index classes to the correct ones for those competitors.
Enrique moved to have the results corrected, TJ Second, Motion approved.
Timing equipment repairs/Extras. The timing equipment is sad shape. Does Race America offer a tune up service? Should we look into a different source for timing lights? TS volunteers to loan their lights to Brett to check for compatibility.
Website updates. Nothing is currently updated (other than the schedule, current event and results) Alan has offered three alternatives…
1.Send a list of expectations to the webmaster. 2.Have Alan bring everything back up to date. 3.Or bring the website into a mode that allows updates by appropriate users.
Alan does not think that Glenn has the time. We could contract to have the original work done, then keeping updated would be simple. There are off the shelf solutions, but they will likely change the look and feel of the website. Cost is a factor. Karl proposes forming a website committee with Alan, Kris, Enrique and Glenn to do the research and select a product to move forward. And prepare a list of webmaster requirements.
Rules Meeting at the November council meeting November 19th at Goldies at 7:00 PM Rules meeting will begin at 8 PM Factoria Mall is no longer available for community meetings. We would like to have a second set of voting to allow edits to the rule proposals.
Presidential Candidates for 2007. Karl will continue for the next two months. Enrique will help if necessary.
Nominations for 2008. The current board members are willing to continue. Karl is fine with either President or VP. Need nominations for any of the positions.
BEAC has a draft Hold harmless agreement for review for equipment storage in the BEAC van. For simplicity have it not include the notary requirement.
Site Issues. The first Flight of the 787 will be in March or April. Any events scheduled for Everett are at the mercy of the Boeing schedule.
New Award. Spirit of the Sport. Glen Hernandez will bring a write up of the requirements.
Slush Events UWFSAE will hold Event #1 TS #2 and Ace #3
Next Meeting 11/19 at Goldies
Motion to Adjourn by Enrique and second by TJ. Meeting adjourned at 9:56pm
