Coneheads Banquet

97 people attended the banquet. Site, food and awards were all excellent. Thanks to Keith and Kristi Brown for organizing and thanks to Karl Coleman for the loan of his projector.

Slush 1 review

179 people attended, 3 runs for everyone. It was a great fund raiser for UWFSAE.

There were several issues.

Val Korry objected to the location of the Waiver person at the entry road, the waiver person was subsequently moved further onto the site. There was some confusion about Rent-a-students, one particularly was assigned as starter and that got overlooked.

There were issues with timing card pickup in Grid for the second run group of the afternoon. Stacey Molleker was running grid and left the event about halfway through the run group.

One car hit the finish lights, WW needs to bill UWFSAE $100.

A car (Civic Si) did a big burnout in the Pits. Dieter and others approached the driver and explained the problem.. BEAC felt the incident was handled appropriately.

After the event there was talk on the NWAutox list that results were not correctly reported in the results.

There was discussion about Site specific rules being posted on A Boards at the entrance to the site. BEAC will investigate.

Move to approve as championship event, passed without opposition.

Slush 2 Review

Timing issues related to batteries in the timing heads, possible issue with the wiring.

The number of runs was increased from 4 to 5 in the morning session, but not until after 4th runs had started. When considering the number runs look at the whole day and factor in delays.

There were also a few issues with the radios having problems transmitting.

Move to approve as championship event, passed without opposition.
