April 18, 2005

Rougue Brewery, Issaquah, WA

Attendees: Ron Bauer, Vice President; John Henderschedt, Secretary; Ann Wilson, NWDE; Brianne Lachlann, CSCC; Keith Brown, TS; Jerry Lamb, SCCA; Dieter Beldi, PSMC, ACE; Denny Trimbe, UWFSAE; Enrique Garcia, BEAC; Guests: NWDE; Karen Babb, BEAC; Tim Davis

Treasurer’s Report: The current balance $5642.81, Accounts receivable total $4322.95, including Jim’s Detail sponsorship for two years, Honey Buckets reimbursement, and several event fees. WW has $195 members covered under K&K. Karen handed out the K&K renewal proposal. Please see e-mail on Council list.

Old Business

Equipment – FM Transmitter – BEAC still needs the specific size of the equipment, and will require a written agreement for the conditions under which BEAC would store the FM transmitter. The agreement would specify that BEAC is not responsible for damage. BEAC needs to know how much insurance coverage to add. BEAC should probably not have use of the transmitter – there are concerns about possible damage.

2005 Calandar Updates

  • The Slush Banquet is on Saturday, April 23rd. $4 for pizza and soft drinks.

  • NWDE cannot do the 7/30 event. They would like to try to do one next year.

  • Tim Davis introduced himself. He’s a member of NWDE and works at Microsoft and would like to put on an autocross as soon as possible. It would be well-funded – they want to put on a nice event. The event would be in conjunction with an XBOX game rollout. They are hoping to provide a site on Microsoft property. Tim would like to take details back to Microsoft and get final approval for project. They are interested in bringing in press coverage. The biggest challenge will be finding a site.

Ron provided current available dates. The main decision elements are site and “partner” WWSCC organization. NWDE could be the official sponsor. Tim should check the Tacoma Rainiers website for the availability of the Cheney Stadium parking lot, and check to make sure that both the front and the back lots are available for both the course and the pit area. Check with BEAC for equipment rental.

  • Dieter – ACE women’s practice will be on Saturday, July 30.

  • Sports Car Spectacular – Enrique reported that Glenn encourages the WWSCC to do Sports Car Spectacular on 10/2. That said, if the 7/31 date is open that would probably be fine. WWSCC will try for that date. Sport Car Spectacular is now scheduled for 7/31. This does conflict with the Denver NT.

  • BEAC would like to trade dates with TS. Autopilot will then be on June 5 and then TS would hold Oversteer/Understeer on July 9th and 10th. Oregon region has a Packwood event on July 9th and 10th, so there would be a conflict. Some core workers may choose to go to Packwood, but TS is self-sufficient so that should not be a problem.

  • June 25th and 26th is the Reno NorPac divisional.

  • CSCC has not yet committed to a “Mere Mortals” on the return weekend of Nats, but they’ve been looking at 9/18.

Event Checklist – Hans was not present

New Business-

CSCC Event - Approved

WWSCC #1

  • Enrique is the focal and will be rules steward in the a.m. Alan will be the rules steward for the non-stock half of the day.

  • They are still revising the course map, will pick up blue box on Saturday, and will confirm Honey Buckets.

  • There is a list of people that bought a rule book at a slush event.

  • Autopilot – Event plan at the next meeting

  • Evolution School – White River amphitheater is not a viable option so we’re looking at Packwood on the Tuseday-Thursday prior to NT – July 19, 20, 21.

Next Meeting – May 16th

Adjourn – 8:30 p.m.
