Call to Order: 7:41pm

Attendance: TS Scott, BEAC Glen, ACE/VP Susan, PSMC Denise, UWFSAE Denny Trimble, SCCA Ron/Jerry, Treasurer Karina, Secretary Kelley, Insurance Focal Karen

Guests: Keith Brown, Alan Dahl, Dieter Beldi, Brad Greco, Jim & Karen Wilmot

November Minutes: Accepted

Treasurer Report: presented by Karina and reviewed. At January meeting she will present a year-end report by category. In 2003, all info will be kept in Quicken.

Old Business:

Coneheads: Per Susan, the contract will be faxed tomorrow. We definitely have the 02/01/03 date. Registration for the banquet will be on the NWR/SCCA site with Paypal.

New WWSCC Logo Competition: Karina has received one submission so far that bordered on inappropriate. Please share with the clubs that we have this contest going on…remember: Free Entries!

NWSCN SCCA Anniversary Advertisement: Glen still waiting to hear from SCCA.

December Rules Meeting: Susan says she has received lots of rules change suggestions, even from a few novices! Meeting is tomorrow night, December 17th at Factoria in small community room

Slush Events: ACE is scheduled for 01/26/03 at Bremerton Motorsports Park. Ron Bauer is Event Chair. Since it is a WWSCC members-only event, need rosters from member clubs at least one week prior to the event. UWFSAE is having a practice with an 80-entrant cap on 01/12/03 at Boeing Everett. Rent-A-Student for $20.00 in lieu of shagging cones will be offered again. Denny T. asked if giving a discount to other SAE teams was acceptable and was answered that any discounts given also need to be given to BEAC member participants as part of the site rental agreement. Torque Steerers also presented an event plan for a Slush event on 02/09/03 at Bremerton Motorsports Park. As with the ACE event, this one is also WWSCC-members only.

Hotline Updating: Brianne and Bret spoke and are squared away on Brianne being Hotline back up. Still some concern that guidelines need to be in place. Denise volunteered to write proposed guidelines for presentation at January WWSCC meeting.

New Business:

Sound Metering Equipment: Scott proposed that WWSCC buy sound metering equipment. Currently, our rules state that we monitor for excessive noise, but we actually don't have equipment for monitoring at all. Some discussion regarding reasonableness of current standards 4.6.1. Proposal tabled while Scott acquires the loan of SCCA's monitoring equipment for testing.

BEAC Rental Prices for 2003: Karen presented a new informational flyer to all present club reps outlining current BEAC equipment and site rental fees. Fees have increased.

Recognition Keychains: Karina proposed that we budget $500.00 for metal keychains to use throughout the season for recognizing efforts that are above and beyond regular participation. Karina moved, Jerry seconded, passed.

Election of 2003 Officers: Susan moved to accept the current slate (officers running unopposed), all aye's, passed.

December 2002 minutes cont'd:

Council Club Rep and Officer Roster: Karina suggested that we put together a roster of Club Rep's and Officers in case a meeting needs to be changed, location, etc. A roster containing cell phone numbers would be the most useful.

Advertising in the Standards Books: Jim Wilmot asked if additional advertising in the Standards books would be possible. Currently, Jim's Detail gets the back cover. Going rate of $20.00 for full page and $10.00 for half page was discussed. Jim will contact Karen Babb. Any submissions need to be “copy-ready“ in a format PageMaker can use.

Next Meeting: Susan will make arrangements for January 20th meeting to be at Rogue Issaquah Brewery again.

Adjourn: Karina moved, Dieter seconded, passed. 8:37pm
