Rogue Brewery, Issaquah, WA
Attendance: Karl Coleman-President, Amy Olson-TS and BSCC,
Annie Bauer, Glenn Austin, Enrique Garcia-BEAC, Steven Yao-UWFSAE, Dieter
Beldi-ACE and PSMC, Ann Wilson-NWDE, Kris Dahl, Karen Babb, Ed Dahl-CSCC,
Kelley Picasso- Treasurer, John Henderschedt- Secretary
Steven Yao needs to be added to the WWSCC list.
Approval of August Minutes – The
amended August meeting minutes were approved without opposition.
Treasurer’s Report – Kelley Picasso
provided a treasurer’s report (attached). There is currently $10,733 in the
bank.
Since there are no more
scheduled events, we can have the Honey Buckets picked up from the Everett
site. BEAC, however, is having an event in October, so BEAC will pay the
October fee.
The Corvette Club apparently
used the Honey Buckets on Saturday prior to ACE’s event, so BEAC needs to
collect a fee from the Corvette Club and ACE won’t be charged for Honey Bucket
service.
Kelley will send out
preliminary invoices.
BEAC needs to be charged for
1/3 the cost of the cones.
The income from the Coneheads
practice was $1,225. There is $400 left over from last year. This is enough
to get the upcoming banquet ticket price to $30.
We still have Slush banquet
funds.
Old Business –
- NWDE
Clothing Optional – Ann Wilson reported on the event. The event went
well. Thanks to WWSCC and BEAC for their support. There was a rules
question regarding a change in the first slalom. There was also a concern
that they’d not gone deep enough in trophy awards, but the rulebook
outlines minimum trophy requirements and some additional guidelines.
Clubs are required to meet the minimum requirements (which NWDE did) but
are not bound by the guidelines.
We
should discuss the potential need to draft a rule change to address course
changes for reasons other than safety.
NWDE Clothing Optional received a sufficient number of
“yes” votes and was approved.
- BEAC
Enduro – It was a good event with good weather. Everyone liked the use of
the new “last lap” flag. BEAC Enduro received a sufficient number of
“yes” votes and was approved.
New Business –
- ACE
Dogfight – There was not much rain in the a.m. – more in the p.m. The
p.m. half of the day ran more slowly. There were some timing issues, and
there was less overlap. Mark Stanley left after one run and did not do
his work assignment. Two other guys from Portland left before doing their
work assignments. Ron will post their names to the list. ACE may ban
these guys from their events and may make a similar recommendation to the
other clubs.
There
were several course questions for the rules stewards. There should be some
guidelines for dealing with a car left on the lot. This has been a common
occurrence this season. We may have to post signs on Friday night. There was
additional discussion regarding guidelines for course design safety and whether
it may be necessary to have courses approved by a safety officer.
- WWSCC
Equipment – There has been no progress on the BEAC hold-harmless. Brett
Wilson will keep the timing equipment.
- Website
Stuff – Glenn can now make changes to the website and is working with Alan
to get past spam filters. They are making progress in getting other
clubs’ lists off of the WWSCC account. Glenn will get Steven Yao added to
the mailing list.
- Trophies
– Dieter needed to have some idea of the banquet date in order to have the
trophies in time. He also confirmed that he can use the results on the
website to determine trophy recipients. Dieter will bring a different
gear bag next month. First place winners will receive a jacket while 2nd
– 5th places will get bags. All trophy recipients will get a
cap.
- The
rules meeting will take place during the first week in December.
- Elections
– Nominations are in October. Elections will be in November.
- Coneheads
Banquet- The banquet may have to be moved into early February although the
last weekend in January would be a great time.
Next Meeting Location – Rogue
Brewery, Issaquah
Adjourn – The meeting
adjourned without objection at 8:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
John Henderschedt
Secretary
