WWSCC Meeting Minutes

October 16, 2006

Rogue Brewery, Issaquah, WA

Attendance – Karl Coleman-President, Amy Olson-TS and BSCC, Annie Bauer, Enrique Garcia-BEAC, Dieter Beldi-ACE and PSMC, Ron Bauer-Vice President, Ed Dahl-CSCC, Keith Brown, Kevin Dietz, John Henderschedt- Secretary

Approval of September Minutes – The amended September meeting minutes were approved without opposition.

Treasurer’s Report – A summary was provided by Ron Bauer. WWSCC has a little over $10,600 in its account with approximately $2,400 in accounts receivable.

Old Business –

Ace Dogfight – CSCC, PSMC, ACE, BEAC, SCCA, TS, and BSCC all voted to approve ACE Dogfight.

ACE decided that the guys who didn’t work will have to work twice before they can run again (work in the a.m. and then do p.m. work assignment before running). Brianne is drafting a letter to them explaining ACE’s decision. This incident did bring up the issue that the rulebook requires notice of work requirements in all pre-event publications and on course maps.

Mark Stanley left without working but will not be penalized because he felt ill had to leave immediately. He even left his stuff at the site.

WWSCC-BEAC Hold Harmless – No new developments. This is still in the drafting stage.

BEAC Generator – BEAC will be getting the truck modified for housing an on-board generator. It, along with the P.A. system, will be ready for next season.

WWSCC Website – There is some question regarding the status of the transfer of website responsibilities.

2006 Trophies – Dieter brought two more bags in addition to the “freezer” backpack. While the freezer was the most popular, it was not a unanimous opinion. After a thorough discussion of the pros and cons of each trophy option, it was decided that Dieter would poll the trophy winners so that each could choose either the “freezer” or the dome bag.

Dieter will also order the larger-style blinking cones with WWSCC and perhaps checkered flags on one side of the base.

New Business –

Nominations for 2007 Officers

President – Ron Bauer

            Vice President – Karl Coleman

            Treasurer – Kelley Picasso

            Secretary – Keith Brown

Karl will post a request for additional nominations on the autocross list.

Rules Meeting – The meeting is scheduled for the first week in December. Potential issues to be addressed include:

Guidelines for course design and course changes

Minimum participation required for season trophies

Status of the PRO 2 and Vintage classes

            Clarification of the passenger rule

            New model classifications

Tentative 2007 Slush Series Schedule

            January 28 or February 4 – UWFSAE

            February 18 – TS

            March 4 – ACE

Coneheads – The Coneheads Banquet is scheduled for February 10, 2007. Karl has received nominations for Worker(s) of the Year and Novice of the Year.

BEAC Parking Lot Issues

Clubs are not authorized to touch (move) cars left on an Boeing lot, but are encouraged to contact Boeing security for assistance. Glen will inquire with Boeing security to determine if there is an existing policy that allows security to remove a car left on the lot.

It is against Boeing policy for anything to be sold on Boeing property during a WWSCC event – this includes rulebooks. WWSCC will need to devise a different method of distributing the rulebooks. New terms of the program should be laid out in the 2007 rules. Perhaps WWSCC should charge a participation fee the first time an individual enters a WWSCC event each year. A series participation list could be compiled as a record of individuals who have paid the fee for a given year.

Next Meeting Location – Rogue Brewery, Issaquah

Meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

John Henderschedt

Secretary
