WWSCC Meeting Minutes
November 20, 2006
Rogue Brewery, Issaquah, WA
Attendance – Karl Coleman-President, Amy Olson-TS and BSCC, Dieter Beldi-ACE and PSMC, Ron Bauer-Vice President, Ed Dahl-CSCC, Ann Wilson-NWDE, Steven Yao-UWFSAE, Michael Lomax-BEAC, Keith Brown, John Henderschedt- Secretary, Glenn Austin, Brian Hood, Bill Sandgren
Approval of October Minutes – Keith moved to approve the minutes. Ed provided a second. The motion passed without opposition.
Treasurer’s Report – There is approximately $11,100 in the bank and $586 in accounts receivable, $500 of which is Jim’s Detail sponsorship fee. This year’s budget for series trophies (not including rookie and worker of the year or Del Hines) is $1,543.
Old Business –
Website Issues- Glenn Austin made a written proposal (attached) to change hosting services from Eskimo to Dreamhost. Dreamhost appears to be good at staying off of spam lists and is presently offering a discount. It is slightly more expensive than Eskimo but allows an unlimited number of lists. The discount price is fixed for as long as WWSCC would maintain its account. Ron moved to make the switch to Dreamhost. Keith seconded the motion. The motion passed without opposition.
Trophies- We are still on track with the original plan for trophies. An issue was raised regarding the possibility that BSSC might want to hand out its season trophies at Coneheads. The general opinion was that the program is already pretty full, and that adding additional trophy presentations may drag things out too long.
BEAC Hold-Harmless- BEAC has a working draft. It will likely be approved shortly and will be presented to WWSCC at its next meeting.
P.A. System- The generator is being installed in the BEAC truck.
Note- BEAC found some WWSCC and SCCA documents from the 1980s. There was no information regarding the quantity of documents.
New Business –
Election of 2007 Officers – Ed moved to elect the following slate of nominees. Amy seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
President – Ron Bauer
Vice President – Karl Coleman
Treasurer – Kelley Picasso
Secretary – Keith Brown
Rules Meeting – The rules meeting is scheduled for December 14th at the Factoria Mall Community Room. Some of the issues to be addressed through rule revisions include:
BEAC wants to establish a rule that requires that a club be current on previous event costs before it can host sponsor another event.
Tentative 2007 Slush Series Schedule –
January 28 – UWFSAE – They will provide an event plan at the December meeting.
February 18 – TS at Bremerton
March 4 – ACE at Bremerton
Coneheads – The Coneheads Banquet is scheduled for February 10, 2007. There was discussion of nominations for Worker of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Karl will get in touch with Jerry Lamb to insure that WWSCC and SCCA are not making these awards to the same people.
Next Meeting Location – Rogue Brewery, Issaquah
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
John Henderschedt
Secretary
