WWSCC Meeting Minutes

July 17, 2006

Rogue Brewery, Issaquah, WA.

 

Attendance: Keith Brown-SCCA, Sean Mcgriff-PSMC, Steve Yao-U.W., Karl Coleman-President, Amy Olson-BSCC/T.S., KellyPiccasso-Treasurer, Ed Dahl-CSCC, Ann Wilson-NWDE, Dieter Beldi-ACE, Enrique Garcia-BEAC, Shelby Zigler, Glenn Austin-guests.

May Minutes were approved with name spelling corrections.

 

Treasurers Report- Kelley provided printed report and said we are bouncing back. Expect windfall from Coneheads Practice and SCS. She will invoice clubs for rulebook ads and Kevin Dietz for series sponsorship.

 

Old Business –

Equipment:

Enrique reported that BEAC is working on an on-board generator for the BEAC Truck. New PA system and further enhancements will be tailored to fit the new generator.

FM Transmitter has been located and is in the BEAC Truck.

 

Cone purchase: Enrique is working with Karl on purchase of 150 new cones.

 

June Minutes show a discussion but not approval of AutoPilot. Did we vote on this?

 

New Business –

Review of Over/Understeer. No Chief of Waiver, timing light battery issues, novice taking passengers was an issue but corrected immediately. Event passed.

 

Keith reported on Coneheads Practice. Attendance was 23 am, 18 pm with 6 runs each.

Split group into 3rds to allow worker coverage due to low attendance in the PM.

Boeing worker had problems leaving lot. Boat parked on lot in AM.

Considering another fundraiser in the fall.

 

Karl reported on SCS. Lack of course maps and Chief of Waivers. Discussion of set-up vs. Course designer’s responsibilities. Needs to be clearer next year. Add Chief of Waivers to Event Checklist.

 

Sean pitched Miatacross Event Plan. Covered Chief of Waivers and the less restrictive rider rule.

 

Ann pitched NWDE’s Clothing Optional Event with course map.

 

Equipment -

WWSCC to fund up to $50.00 for a new computer mouse.

Kelly and Brent will fix new timing cable and adaptors.

 

WWSCC Equip. storage. – Council gave a list of equipment to BEAC/Erique, who is then to provide a hold harmless agreement for the equipment they are willing to store.

FM transmitter needs to be moved out of BEAC Truck.

 

Website –

Discussed the e-lists. Separate clubs to pay for their own. ACE and PSMC to find another host. Alan to find out about 90 day grace period.

Alan to add Steve Yao (seyao@u.washington.edu) to council list.

Alan wants out of the Webmaster position. Glenn Austin to talk with Alan about assuming the website duties.
