Wilson-NWDE, Kris Dahl, Karen Babb, Ed Dahl
Approval of July Minutes – The minutes were approved without
opposition.
Treasurer’s Report – No official report was provided. WWSCC
has approximately $9,600 in the bank after raising $1,200 from the Coneheads
Practice event and $3,000 from the Sports Car Spectacular event.
Old Business –
- BEAC PA System and Generator –
There has not been any further progress on these. Karen is getting a
price on a built-in generator. BEAC has the money, and will purchase a PA
system once they have the generator.
- Timing Cables – Kelley and
Brett fixed the timing cables.
- New Cone Purchase – WWSCC has
taken delivery of 150 new cones. Kelley will need to reimburse Karl for
the cost of the cones and invoice BEAC for their share of that cost.
- BEAC Autopilot – The event was
approved unanimously.
- Sports Car Spectacular – The
event was approved unanimously.
- Miatacross – The event went
well. Unfortunately, weather affected one run group each half of the day.
There was a snafu in grid which held up the timing cards. Kevin is
concerned that the Jim’s Detail sponsorship may not have been announced at
one of the drivers’ meetings. This is an important issue. Kevin pays for
the sponsorship announcement and needs to know that it will be a part of
each drivers’ meeting. The event was approved unanimously.
New Business –
- NWDE Clothing Optional –
Everything is set to go. A course map was provided for review. The
after-event social will be at Azteca.
- BEAC Enduro – An event plan
(attached) was presented and reviewed. Also, BEAC is working on a
hold-harmless agreement addressing equipment stored by BEAC for WWSCC.
BEAC does not want to store “event critical” equipment.
- ACE Dogfight – An event plan
(attached) was presented and reviewed.
- CSCC – The Mere Mortals event
has been cancelled. CSCC does not have enough folks available to put on
the event. Kelley should be notified of this cancellation. Ed also noted
that CSCC has a new site that may work for an event next year.
- Website Stuff – Glenn and Alan
are discussing options for increasing Glenn’s involvement in WWSCC website
support.
- Karts in WWSCC – Generally,
karts are prohibited unless approved by the insurer. In this case,
K&K only allows for the use of karts that are SCCA-approved (SCCA
F125). The kart driver must have a driver’s license and may be required
to offer proof that their kart is legal for SCCA F125 competition.
- Another Practice – WWSCC may
do another Coneheads practice. October 22 may be a good date for that
event.
Next Meeting Location – Rogue Brewery, Issaquah
Adjourn – The meeting adjourned without objection at 9:00
p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
John Henderschedt
Secretary
