Approval of October Minutes
– Ron moved to approve. Ann seconded the motion. The
minutes were approved as amended without opposition.
Treasurer’s Report – Kelley presented the treasurer’s report
(attached). ACE paid their balance
in full. TS paid OS/US
balance. BEAC paid for Enduro and
WWSCC paid equipment rental fees for Dogfight to BEAC. Chuckanut paid its Mere Mortals
rulebook proceeds. Coneheads fundraiser
brought in about $1350 in profit.
Current AR is UW – Travis said they’ll cut checks for $1477 for Dawg
Dash and Honey Bucket rental invoice in the next few days. May close out the year completely
current – just a couple of outstanding invoices.
Old Business –
FM Transmitter – Karl sent an e-mail. Didn’t hear back. He needed to buy a
JAC Timer – Cashed the
deposit check but not the remaining balance. Should be shipped shortly.
PA System – Still waiting to see what BEAC wants to
do they may buy one. Need an
update from BEAC.
Coneheads Banquet Practice
Recap – Rained all day. $1995 in
entry fees. Each run group got six
runs. Thanks for all of the
help. Had a nice social after the
event. Someone stopped by and made
a $25 donation.
Question regarding whether
WWSCC wants to allocate some of its proceeds from Sports Car Spectacular for
Coneheads
New Business –
Special Awards Nominations –
Since the officers elect the award winners, nominations should be forwarded
directly to Karl. Del Hines award
is chosen by last three participants.
Nominations should be in by the rules meeting on December 7.
There is not currently
anything “permanent” that comes along with the Del Hines award. This has been discussed earlier. We should consider this if we have a
nomination for Del Hines. Maybe
this should be listed on the website as well. Will post a request on the list for this information.
2006 Club Representatives –
Reminder to speak to your clubs.
Get approval. Keith is SCCA, Amy is TS rep, Ann Wilson is NWDE, Dieter
is the PSMC rep, Travis will continue as UWFSAE, Ed Dahl for CSCC, Enrique will be the BEAC rep, still
need BSCC and ACE
Rules Meeting – Scheduled for
7:00 p.m. on December 7 at Factoria Mall in the Community Room.
2006 Car Classing – Alan
needed a copy of the current rulebook.
Rules Steward- Enrique
working with BEAC on this.
Recommended to come with a few different versions. Will include the idea of allowing two
rules steward to split a.m. or p.m.
Other Rules/Topics – May be a
recommendation to create a Street Touring class. Redefining PRO 1 and PRO 2; one rulebook per family; helmet
rule – goes to SNELL 95 next year.
Issue regarding which PAX to use for the slush events does not need to
be dealt with at the rules meeting.
I can be dealt with in the event plan.
Note – WWSCC should ask Brett
Wilson if he wants to be timing and scoring focal.
Clubs will have to go out to
the clubs for a vote after the meeting.
Anyone can bring a rules proposal to the meeting – it does not have to
be a club rep. Purpose of the
meeting is to help craft them.
Slush Events -
TS – 2/12 at BMP
ACE – 2/26 at BMP
UW would like to have an
event next year. Usually the third
Sunday in January. And CSCC will
probably have a slush event – March 12?
BEAC will need to approve the Everett events.
Banquet Planning – 24 Hours
at Daytona is on Jan. 28th.
Friday, Feb. 17th is available at FX McCrory’s. Friday nights are difficult for people
coming from outside Seattle.
Timing could definitely be an issue. Saturday would be more workable. It is easy to deal with FX in comparison with other
venues. SCCA will likely be
agreeable with this. Would like to
have Greg and Jodi with us but January 28th is really the only date
that works. Last year the banquet
cost was about $35/person. Looking
like it will be closer to $40 for the upcoming event. Will target the $30 range for banquet ticket price.
Year-End Trophies – Dieter
says it’s going well. Will view
samples tomorrow. Struggling to incorporate
the new tire/WA logo. Will talk
with Kelley about the budget.
NWDE thinking about
fundraising, and is wondering whether WWSCC would cover a gymkana. Simply needs to be framed properly for the insurers – how big is the
event? What is the intended
participation level? If at
Everett, it has to be co-hosted with BEAC.
Officer Nominations –
President – Karl
V.P. – Ron
Treasurer – Kelley
Secretary- John
Ed moved, Keith Second
Election of Officers -
No objections
Next Meeting Location – Rogue
Brewery, Issaquah if available
Adjourn – made the
motion. provided a second. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
Respectfully
submitted,
John Henderschedt
Secretary
