Minutes from the last meeting were not available for review.
The WWSCC account has a balance of $4536.35, with $4631.10 in outstanding accounts receivable.
Autopilot Event Review
The event was discussed. It went well, except for the rain. A person in a blue Viper coupe who was not an entrant (but had entered previous events) did a burnout as he was exiting the site; this is not acceptable behavior, please spread the word. BEAC voted to ban this individual from all events on Boeing property through the end of July 2005. Also, event chairs need to remember to include “no pets on site” in their event information sent to the webmaster for all Everett events.
Equipment
No updates on the FM transmitter kit that was authorized for purchase a couple months ago (Karl Coleman is handling this). There has been some discussion of WWSCC buying its own timing equipment, because of the balance in our account and the desire to save clubs money by not renting the BEAC timing equipment at events. BEAC is hesitant to store WWSCC timing equipment, so Jason and Brett Spore have volunteered to store and transport this equipment to all WWSCC events if we acquire it. Kelley Picasso will investigate pricing and options for this equipment, and bring a report to the next meeting.
Torque Steerers Oversteer / Understeer Event Plan
Kim presented her event plan for the events on July 9th and 10th in Boeing Everett. She requested that passengers be allowed on competitive runs, as allowed in the rules. None opposed. A reminder that passengers must be registered entrants at that event, and that no two novices can be in a car at one time on course. Dieter Beldi volunteered to be the AM Rules Steward on Saturday, and Ron Bauer volunteered to be the AM Rules Steward for Sunday.
ACE Ladies’ Practice July 30th at Everett
This event will run the Sports Car Spectacular course backwards.
Sports Car Spectacular July 31st at Everett
Karl Coleman will be event chair. PSMC will do Tech Inspection. ACE will do Timing. Torque Steerers will do Registration. NWDE will do workers (with TS as a backup). Mark Snell of BEAC will do Course. UWFSAE still needs to help out somewhere, perhaps with course setup, workers, or wherever need be.
Miatacross Event Plan, August 7th, 2005
Sean McGriff presented his event plan for Miatacross, along with a coursemap. We discussed changing future events at Everett from two grids to one, to allow more grid lanes and to prevent cars from backing up and blocking the entrance. Also, Boeing Security has been requiring that one lane on the road be left clear during the events.
