Approval of June Minutes – Minutes approved as written. No opposition.

Treasurer’s Report – Expenditures were primarily insurance payments for three separate events. Accounts receivable totals almost $4800, which includes an outstanding payable by UWFSAE.

UWFSAE may hold another event to cover cost of Dawg Dash because it does not have the funds to cover current debt to the Council. The WWSCC reps expressed concern regarding this situation and urges UW to put together a payment plan to start to cover outstanding debt, especially the oldest and/or most important outstanding balances.

A full financial report is attached to the minutes.

Old Business –

FM Transmitter – It’s arrived! Karl submitted the invoice which was about $350 for the unit. Kelly will look at the kit to determine whether or not she is interested in assembling the transmitter.

JAC Timer – BEAC needs to know the dimensions of the timer in order to consider storing it in their van. Brett and Jason Spore have agreed to store the timer if BEAC will not do so. The JA Circuits timer basic cost is $1950, and with necessary accessories the cost is approximately $2500 plus the cases. Keith Brown made a motion to buy the timer and case and a separate case for the timer heads. Kevin seconded the motion. There was some discussion that it may be prudent to wait until after the SCS when WWSCC’s cash position will be improved. However, the builder only requires a 20% deposit, so the up-front cost is only $500. The motion to order the timer passed without objection.

Timer Display - This should be discussed at a later date as there are presently no funds available for this purchase.

PA System – BEAC is looking at getting a PA system that will be available for rental by clubs holding events.

New Business –

Torque Steerers US/OS review. SCCA, ACE, BEAC, PSMC, TS discussed the event.

BEAC – The comments were generally very positive. Posting was inconsistent. There wasn’t a standard place for posting times. Trophy presentations were a bit slow. BEAC approved.

ACE comments – The driver’s meeting did not follow guidelines that are in the rulebook. Long wait for trophies in the afternoon. ACE voted to approve.

PSMC – PSMC approved.

SCCA – There was very little feedback. SCCA approved.

Keith moved to approve OS/US. Enrique seconded the motion. It passed without opposition.

Ladies’ Practice – Details of the event were posted to the list this morning.

WWSCC Sports Car Spectacular – Event plan attached.

BEAC presented a “laundry list” (applies to events generally)–

No jumping over the fence.

No speeding.

Just one lane is required to be open if using the entry road for grid.

Please notify participants that when they leave at the entrance, please turn left (direction of traffic).

Event sponsors and advertising– is that OK with series sponsors?

Jim’s Detail Shop can have a banner at the event. Other sponsor banners are acceptable as long as they are relatively small, the banners are displayed toward the event participants (not the Boeing buildings) and they do not conflict with the interests of the series or event sponsors.

Rules Stewards – P.M. – Denny A.M. – Karl will make a post on the list.

Course Map attached – The course will be run backwards on Saturday. Cones will be added to help define the line of the course for practice.

BEAC is donating the site fee but not the rental fee.

Round of applause for Kelly’s work getting the trophies.

Passenger Clarification – Drivers may take passengers. Novices may not take another novice as a passenger. Except for Pro class drivers, a competitor may not ride as a passenger prior to taking their runs (i.e., no looks at the course prior to running except for pro class).

Miatacross – Plan already approved. Course map has been approved by BEAC.

ACE is requesting they be allowed to move the Dogfight to October 2.

BEAC wants to do the Enduro at Everett on August 28. Enrique will be event chair.

Mere Mortals – Event plan attached. Course map has been reviewed and approved by BEAC.

Blaine Invitational has been cancelled due to K&K Insurance’s unwillingness to insure the event.

Wwscc.org domain was renewed in May.

Karen asked for a more thorough completion of the waiver forms. Please make sure that the top is filled out and the witness info on the bottom of the form is complete. Likewise, the same should be done on the back of the form for juvenile waivers.

Jerry moved to adjourn.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.

Next meeting is Monday, August 15, 2005

Respectfully submitted,

John Henderschedt
