- Drift Practice.

Clubs needed to vote on approving sending a letter to K&K (WWSCC insurance carriers)

for requesting coverage for drift practice events.

A "yea" vote approves the motion.

Once approved, TS needs to present an event/practice plan to the membership (as

required by K&K insurance.)

Designated overlord for TS Drift Practice events is Scott Miller. He will have final

say on safety and event issues.

Clubs that have not voted on approval (as of 19 January 2004 - ERG):

BEAC, Chuckanut, NWDE.

Feedback from Clubs:

SCCA - in general, OK with it. Some concern about site conflicts and availability.

PSMC - Fine with it as long as Torque Steers oversee and give direction during event.

TS representative mentioned the TS Autocross commitee will be overseeing all aspects

of Drift Practice.

ACE - OK with practice. They seemed to think drift practice will not really affect

Autocross events adversely.

UW FSAE - In favor of proposal.

Voting clubs:

In favor: UWFSAE, ACE, TS, PSMC, SCCA.

Not voted yet: BEAC, Chuckanut, NWDE.

Against: none.

- Discussion turned to figuring out if vote needs a two-thirds majority. It was

determined that a 2/3s vote is needed.

- Need to wait for other clubs to vote on approval for event. To be closed at Feb

2004 meeting.

Torque Steerers representative suggested it would be nice to have representatives

from all clubs at the event.

Drift Practices will be for WWSCC members only.

TS expects attendance in the range of 35 participants. Event will feature an

extensive drivers meeting, amplyfied AutoX course safety margins.

Once approved, K&K letter will be drafted and submitted to council list for editing.

- BSCC Meeting Report.

Karl Coleman reported that BSCC is undergoing membership woes. For example, 3

persons attended recent membership meeting. Mr. Coleman also noted that BSCC has a

high priority for the assignment of event dates.

Karl suggested that WWSCC should recruit BSCC for inclusion into the WWSCC. This

will encourage clubs to co-host events with BSCC, and provide more organizer

participation on BSCC events. For BSCC events, BSCC may use their own rules and

classing scheme.

The WWSCC will need to send an invitation letter to the BSCC.

- Preliminary event dates/requests.

UWFSAE - April 18, 2004 (name TBD)

PSMC - June 20, 2004 (Miatafest)

TS - July 10 & 11, 2004 (Oversteer/Understeer)

Karl Coleman will check with BSCC in order to confirm their planned event dates, for

inclusion into the WWSCC Event Calendar (www.wwscc.org).

- Other comments:

Keith Brown suggested/requested that Stock E and Pro1 classes be in separate run

groups. It was suggested that this be coordinated directly with the chief of workers

for each event.

No status from BEAC regarding the purchase of sound equipment for rental to the

WWSCC member clubs. There seems to be a need for better sound equipment.
