WWSCC November Minutes    11/17/03    Issaquah Rogue Brewhouse

September and October Minutes: Jerry moves to approve, Steve seconded, both months' minutes passed.

Treasurer's Report: Balance on 10/31/03: $9871.42. Still balancing out from Enduro and Dogfight. We've received insurance payments from CSCC for their last two events of the season. $1945.36 was last year's trophy budget. We still need to invoice the clubs for their shares of the SaniCans. Also, we forgot to invoice the people/clubs who advertised in the rulebook. We'll need someone to audit the books in January, Kelley volunteers.

OLD Business: Technology Update - Alan: Timing/Scoring thing without posting times hasn't been working out. Would be nice to have something that people could look at. Discussion of looking into finding a display. Website update. Brent working on setting-up a community-based website on a platform called Drupal. To see a sample of it, you can look at www.torquesteerers.org.

Equipment Update: BEAC is looking into purchasing a bigger handtruck. Karl suggested checking into the handtrucks at Costco. Positive vibe from BEAC about purchasing a new PA, should have more to report at December meeting. Jerry will work on a wagon for cone hauling.

Coneheads: Survey - Karina: Survey article online, pretty self-explanatory. Haven't seen any discussion or concerns expressed on the website. Board will be meeting to go over the menu, drinks, etc. Karina will be checking out the parking availability, etc. Enrique is in charge of trophies this year.

Site Selected: Mountaineer's Club.

NEW Business: Slush: ACE - January 18th @ BMP: Per Ron this is confirmed and it is confirmed at BMP also. Susan is going to be their Event Chair. Must be a member of a WWSCC club. Named "Arctic Cone Experience".

TS - February 8th @ BMP: Per Keith - Confirmed. Kyle Reeder is Event Chair, Nash Johnson and Brad Greco are the course designers. Also a members-only event. Using 2003 PAX since we're using the 2003 Rulebook.

UWFSAE - February 29th @ Boeing Everett West. Not confirmed yet, but working on it.

Rules Meeting - Enrique: December 2nd, 2003 at 7:00pm Rogue Brewery. Karen will send out an email that details how rules should be presented and proposed. Alan has concerns that our classing is not as current as it should be. Car classing and other rules proposals are welcome at the rules meeting.

Drift Practice Events - Errin Humphrey: TS has formed a sub-committee to explore holding Drift Practice Events. Discussion and Q&A regarding the written proposal presented tonight. It still needs TS approval prior to approaching K&K or other insurers. One can check out the sport on the web at www.driftday.com. Thank you Errin.

Elections - Enrique: According to the Bylaws we were supposed to have the elections in October. Proposal by Enrique to hold elections in December, with nominations to be in by December 2nd. Clubs should discuss the nominees between the December 2nd rules meeting and the December 15th WWSCC monthly meeting. Seconded by Keith, passes.
